Cynthia Wu

Cynthia Wu is an Associate at WKD.  Prior to joining the firm, she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Master from China before obtaining her JD from the University of Arizona as a merit scholar.  She then went on to earn her LLM from the University of Florida.

Ms. Wu in her previous employment worked as a civil and probate/guardianship staff attorney at the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in Fort Lauderdale.  She reviewed numerous law and motion filings, other pre-trial and probate case pleadings.  Ms. Wu regularly assessed all filings and made recommendations to civil and probate judges assigned to her.

She is passionate about estate planning and has extensive experience drafting wills, revocable trusts, power of attorneys, and Advance Medical Directives.  Ms. Wu is well-versed in complex estate planning strategies such as QTIP, QDOT, GST, DSUE, IDGT, FLP and Credit Shelter Trust.

In addition to estate planning, Ms. Wu has a background in tax law, including business planning, domestic tax and international tax planning. 

Ms. Wu is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.  She is admitted to multiple jurisdictions which include: Texas, Florida, District of Columbia, New York and U.S. Tax Court.
